Joe Ballmes, August 21, 1946 - May 2, 2022

From the Everett Herald, Sunday, July 17...

Joseph C. Ballmes of Sequim, WA, passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was born to William and Doris Ballmes and grew up in Edmonds, the oldest of three children. Joe was a dreamer and a planner. He had many interests and a knowledge of many things. He took flying lessons, had horses and raced dune buggies. He had a talent for restoring old cars, body work and painting. Joe lived in many places but always came home to Washington state. He shared his love of the out of doors and living close to nature with his son Bill. Hunting, fishing and crabbing in the Puget Sound area. Joe was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves his son Bill Ballmes of Sequim, his granddaughter Breanna Ballmes of Spanaway, sisters Gail Gary and Judy Rector and many cousins and friends. He is very missed. Joe was a great story teller. We hope, at future date, you will join us to share your stories about Joe with other friends and family.
