Dorene J. Hugill -- OCTOBER 16, 1946 – SEPTEMBER 12, 2021

Dorene Jean Hugill of Canton, Ohio passed away on September 12, 2021 at the age of 74. She was born on October 16, 1946 in Seattle, Washington. She graduated from Mountlake Terrace High School in 1965. 

She worked as an executive assistant until she got married and started a family. Her dream of becoming a mother came true in 1974 with the birth of her only child, her son Chad, the light of her life. 

Dorene was actively involved in many of her favorite hobbies including Entertaining, Baking, Cooking, Arts and Crafts, Cross-stitching, Pottery, Skiing, Bowling, Golfing, and many other activities over the years. 

She is preceded in death by her Father Eugene Griffith and Mother Dorothy Griffith 

She is survived by her Son, Chad (Rachael) Hugill; Brothers, Mike and Pat; Sister, Margaret; Grandsons, Jacob and Tyler Hugill; longtime partner, Jerry Zimmerman, and his children and grandchildren. 

Dorene was a shining light in any room she entered. With her big smile, bright blue eyes, and heart full of love, she charmed everyone around her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She would do anything for anybody in need of a helping hand and was a mother to all who knew her. Dorene will be incredibly missed by her family and friends.
