Mr. Niecard was my favorite teacher. He related to me not only as a student but as a real human being. I wish I'd taken his advice and applied for a scholarship at the U. of Hawaii.

Mr. Nievaard was my favorite teacher in all of my public school years.  He was inspiring, took the time to counsel, and helped me find my way for a career in the health sciences.  I thought about him alot over the years as my career evolved.  Not many like him !

Mr. Nievaard was an incredible teacher.  He was my Human Physiology teacher third period and I was his lab asistant for Human Phys fifth period.  We did so many hands-on projects that increased our understanding of the human body.  He had gone to at least one year of med school and brought that talent and those skills into our classroom.  The very first day I assisted him, he had me change the formaldehyde on the human brain specimen that he had.  I had to hold it in my hand as I changed the fluid and at that point, I knew it was going to be quite the ride!  He was very humane and caring, but had very high standards for us as well.  I've thought of him often over the years, especially when I had my highly capable fifth grade students do a unit on seven of the human body systems.  Thank you, Mr. Nievaard, for being such a wonderful teacher.
