It was a shock to be informed by his son, Pat that Ken had passed away this past Wednesday, April 21. Ken was over at our home the Sunday before last for dinner that included Margaret Scales Miller, her husband Jim Miller, my sister Sarah and my wife Kathy.  We were so fortunate to have been able to spend time with Ken these last few months especially after his wife Janet passed away last year. I've known Ken since grade school, enjoyed  seeing and spending time with Ken. Ken was a very sincere and loving person. Ken always spoke about Janet and how much they loved each other. Ken was also very proud of his grandsons; he was very involved with them especially attending their hockey games. We were fortunate to have a mini reunion for the Arizona classmates this past March and I know Ken had a great time being able to see some of his classmates that he grew up around. He was a very proud veteran and stood up for the USA. Ken and I had several conversations dating back to our school days and also discussing current affairs. Ken was a good and loyal friend. I will always have great memories of Ken.

I was so sorry to hear of Ken's passing and  even sorrier that I could not attend the gathering at Pete Clark's house in Arizona because I would have loved to see Ken there. I have fond memories of my rides to Everett Community College with Ken who was kind enough to pick me up on his way there.  During our commute he introduced me to the songs of Bob Dylan and other interesting musicians of that time. He was always kind and considerate, and I imagine he had a wonderful life. RIP Ken.
