Sheila Brown (Williams)

Sheila Ruth (Brown) Williams passed away Thursday, June 17th, 2010, at her home in Bothell, WA.  She was sustained in her brief battle with cancer by her faith in her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and her many wonderful friends and family.

Born in Portland, OR, her family moved to Edmonds, WA, when she was 12. She graduated from Meadowdale H.S. in 1965, attended Everett Community College, and married Glenn Williams in 1967.  She and Glenn raised their family in Seattle. She held several admin positions throughout her adult life and had recently retired from SPU.

Sheila and Glenn shared their successful marriage by serving as Christian pre-marriage counselors for 13 years.  Sheila deeply loved and cared for people and was a spiritual mentor and sister to whomever she could reach with her sweet smile and happy nature. Throughout her life, her grace and kindness was evident to all those around her.

Survived by her loving husband Glenn; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Steve Whitlock; son and daughter-in-law, Bryce and Julie Williams; grandchildren Kyra and Gage; father, Jesse Brown; sister and brother-in-law, Dianne and Gene Ansbaugh; father-in-law, James Williams; brother-in-law Brian Williams; brother and sister-in-law, Owen and Tanya Williams; niece, Raksha, and extended family.  A celebration of Sheila's life was held July 2, 2010, at Canyon Hills Community Church in Bothell, WA.
